A lot can happen in six months’ time — seasons come and go, friendships blossom and grow, and new memories are forged while others fade. But some things, like the love of a good dog, never change.
Just ask this sweet pup named Valentina.
One day, the person Valentina adores the most in the world — her dad — walked out the door and did not return as he normally does. Little could she have understood that, due to life’s obligations, his would be an extended absence.
Days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to months, until a half of a year elapsed for Valentina without her dad. But as footage of their touching reunion shows, he’d never left her heart:
Though seeming uncertain at first, as though in disbelief by whom she was seeing, the pup burst with joy after confirming with a sniff that her dad was really there.
According to TikTok user McMoliday, who posted the video above, it must have been an equally joyful moment for Valentina’s dad.
“He had to work overseas for 6 months and just came home,” McMoliday wrote, adding that days spent with Valentina are never taken for granted:
“She’s 13-and-a-half years old, and we are loving the time we have left with her.”
