For Kisa, it’s a lifestyle.
There’s just something different about orange cats.
Unlike many of their tabby or tuxedo counterparts, orange cats often move through life with a bit more bravado and pep. Like outgoing little house tigers, they seem ever-ready to pounce, play and explore, regarding the world with endless curiosity.
But for orange cats, rushing headlong into new experiences doesn’t always taste so sweet.

Last month, this orange cat named Kisa was at home with her owners when she decided to go exploring inside the bathroom. She hopped into the tub and began poking around the items found there.
Among them, on a little shelf all on its own, Kisa happened upon a mysterious white bar. Though she could have merely given it a sniff, such was not enough for an orange cat like Kisa.
She just had to go in for a bite.
Photos snapped by Kisa’s owner capture that moment — and the priceless reaction that followed:
Simply by being her orange-cat self, doing possibly the most orange-cat thing, Kisa soon went viral.
After her owners posted photos of her reaction to eating the soap online, it received millions of views and likes across multiple social media platforms. Kisa became an internet star.
At home, her family memorialized the “soap moment” by hanging framed photos of Kisa’s reaction on the wall leading up their stairs:
Unsurprisingly, this isn’t Kisa’s only display of orange-cat behavior.
For her, it’s a lifestyle.
Though studies have been done showing that orange cats are indeed distinct in a number of ways, they don’t fully explain the particularities more casual observers often find in them over non-orange cats. One thing is certain, however — it’s impossible to get of enough of Kisa and cats like her.
