It’s Piper’s favorite part of the morning.
Each day, the mailman who works the route that includes TikTok user @Djperelman‘s house comes bearing more than simply cards and letters.
He always delivers a little joy as well — just ask Djperelman’s dog, Piper.
Somewhere along the line, the mailman, named Jason, struck up a sweet routine with Piper. After dropping Djperelman’s mail through the slot, he began reaching through with his hands to eagerly caress the dear dog on the other side of the door.
It’s something Piper has come to expect.
Sometimes, Jason delivers a treat to Piper along with the mail. Then the petting commences.
She loves every second of it.
Though it’s unclear if Piper has ever actually met Jason face to face, his loving pats and scratches through the mail slot have been more than enough to endear him to her. (And the feeling is no doubt mutual.)
For commenters on Djperelman’s now-viral videos, it’s had the same effect on them. As one viewer wrote:
“We love you mailman Jason, god of the magic door pets.”
